At Promed Health & Derma Liverpool, we specialise in comprehensive health screening and private blood tests tailored to your unique needs. Whether you’re interested in a general health check, advanced hormone panel, or specific nutritional assessment, our Liverpool clinic offers a full range of private blood testing services performed by experienced medical professionals.
Not sure what blood tests you need - book a medical consultation (£99) to discuss your concerns and symptoms. We recommend booking a consultation with one of our clinicians before booking a blood test. This ensures you get the right test the first time, rather than spending money on tests that may not be appropriate for your needs. We're here to make your wellness journey efficient, informed, and cost-effective.
A Full Blood Count (FBC) is a simple but highly informative blood test that examines your red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets to give a clear picture of your overall health. This test is well suited for anyone experiencing tiredness, low energy, dizziness, frequent infections, palpitations or unexplained bruising, as well as those monitoring existing conditions or simply wanting a routine health check. It’s quick, straightforward and often the first step in understanding what may be affecting your wellbeing.
Our Hormonal Health Profile is a comprehensive assessment of 8 key hormones: Oestradiol, Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinising Hormone (LH), Progesterone, Prolactin, Testosterone, Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) and Free Androgen Index (FAI).
This panel gives a complete picture of your reproductive and hormonal balance. It assesses the brain-hormone signals that control fertility and sex hormone production [FSH & LH], your main sex hormones [Oestradiol, Progesterone and Testosterone], Prolactin which can affect fertility, libido and menstrual cycles when raised, and SHBG & FAI which show how much testosterone is actively available to your body.
For men, it can help investigate low libido, erectile dysfunction, fatigue, low mood, loss of muscle mass and strength, infertility or breast tissue enlargement, and suspected low or high testosterone.
For women, it can help investigate irregular, heavy or absent periods, difficulty conceiving, symptoms of perimenopause and menopause such as hot flushes, night sweats, mood changes and sleep disturbance, and signs of androgen excess such as acne, unwanted facial hair growth, or thinning hair often associated with PCOS.
A Iron Status Panel assesses the key markers that determine your body’s iron levels and how well you store and transport iron. By measuring iron, ferritin, total iron binding capacity (TIBC), transferrin and transferrin saturation, this test helps identify iron deficiency, iron overload, inflammation‑related changes and issues with iron absorption. It is particularly suited for individuals experiencing fatigue, low energy, hair thinning, shortness of breath, restless legs, or those with conditions that affect iron balance. This panel provides a clear, accurate picture of your iron status and is an important step in understanding symptoms related to low or high iron.
Get a detailed overview of your health in one appointment. This comprehensive blood test includes key panels for Thyroid, Full Blood Count, Heart Health & Cholesterol, Liver & Kidney function, Diabetes Screening (HbA1c/Insulin), Iron Status, Bone Health with Vit, D, urinalysis—plus an advanced hormonal health panel as well as Prostate Tumour Markers
This is a great option if you’re experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, low mood, weight changes, poor sleep, reduced libido, brain fog, erectile dysfunction or you simply want a proactive Health & Hormonal MOT.
Just like in the Male panel, this set of bloods will give a detailed overview of your health. Instead of checking prostate tumour markers, the female panel checks ovarian tumour markers. This is a comprehensive blood test looking at key panels for Thyroid, Full Blood Count, Heart Health & Cholesterol, Liver & Kidney function, Diabetes Screening (HbA1c/Insulin), Iron Status, Bone Health with Vit, D, urinalysis—plus an advanced hormonal health panel.
This is a great option if you’re experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, low mood, weight changes, poor sleep, reduced libido, brain fog, irregular cycles, or you simply want a proactive Health & Hormonal MOT.
A Vitamin D Test measures the level of vitamin D in your blood to assess whether your body has enough to support healthy bones, immunity, mood and overall wellbeing. Low vitamin D is common in the UK, especially during winter months, and can contribute to fatigue, low mood, muscle aches, weakened immunity and long‑term bone health issues. This test is suited for anyone experiencing these symptoms, those with limited sun exposure, individuals with darker skin tones, or people who simply want to check their levels as part of a routine health assessment. It’s a quick, reliable way to understand your vitamin D status and guide any next steps in maintaining optimal health.
If you’re tired all the time, our targeted fatigue blood panel is designed to help identify common medical causes of ongoing low energy. This comprehensive blood test checks your Full Blood Count , Thyroid Function (a common cause of fatigue and brain fog), Kidney Function, Diabetes markers, Infection & Inflammation markers plus key Nutritional Levels including Iron Status and essential vitamins. It’s ideal if you’ve been feeling run down, struggling with concentration, or not recovering well from stress or training
Our Digestive Health panel helps investigate common underlying causes of ongoing digestive symptoms by checking for signs of H. Pylori infection & Coeliac disease. It’s a useful option if you’re experiencing persistent bloating, indigestion, nausea, reflux, abdominal discomfort, or changes in bowel habits, and want clearer answers to guide next steps. Results can support a more targeted treatment plan and help avoid unnecessary trial-and-error with diet or supplements.
Our Complete Allergy Panel checks for IgE-mediated allergies across 60+ triggers, plus your Total IgE (your overall allergy antibody level). Ideal if you have complex, persistent symptoms or previous testing hasn't found the cause.
What we test (60+ allergens):
This test can help identify causes of:
Sneezing, congestion, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes, skin rashes, hives, wheeze, cough, or digestive reactions.
Recommended if you have persistent or multiple allergy symptoms, suspect several triggers, or have ongoing hay fever, eczema, or food sensitivities that haven't been explained.
Promed Liverpool offers private Genetic Testing to help you understand inherited health risks and make more informed choices about your long-term wellbeing. Our genetic tests can support preventative healthcare, personalised lifestyle planning, and family screening by identifying clinically relevant genetic markers linked to health, nutrition and disease risk.
Having a genetic variant doesn’t necessarily mean you will develop a condition—it simply highlights a potential predisposition, your lifestyle, environment and other health factors also play a role. With clear guidance Genetic Testing at Promed is ideal if you have a family history of certain conditions, want a proactive health check, or are looking for a more personalised approach to health and performance.
Our genetic tests are processed by our partner laboratory and typically take around 6 weeks for results to be returned. A full consultation is required with one of our registered Healthcare Professionals before booking
